Create a Conversation

Open your hub, select Conversations, then select New Conversation. The Conversation Builder asks what this chat should help users do, then interviews you one question at a time. When it has enough information, OBIE writes the system prompt and creates the Conversation as a draft.

Answer a few questions

The Conversation Builder opens with its first question: what will users come to this chat for?

Answer in plain language. OBIE follows up based on what you say and may ask about:

• Who the AI speaks as: you in first person, or a guide who represents your work.
• Who your users are and what they need help with.
• The outcome a user should leave the chat with.
• How the AI should help, such as coaching, advising, brainstorming, diagnosing, practicing, or answering questions.
• How long replies should be and how each turn should end.
• Phrases to use, phrases to avoid, and boundaries the AI must follow.

You don't need to write a prompt yourself. If an answer is brief, OBIE can choose a sensible default and keep moving. You can edit the finished prompt afterward.

Add documents while you talk

Select Documents beside the message box to add files from your account's document library or upload new ones. OBIE reads the selected documents during the interview and attaches them to the finished Conversation, so it can use your frameworks, guides, or transcripts with users.

Start over

Select Start Over to clear the current interview and begin again. The selected attachments are cleared from the interview, but the underlying files stay in your document library.

Build it yourself instead

Select Advanced Mode if you'd rather enter the details yourself. Work through General, Customize, Documents, Prerequisites, and Prompt, then create the Conversation from the Prompt step.

Review the draft

When the Conversation Builder finishes, OBIE creates the Conversation as a draft and opens its Prompt settings. A draft isn't visible to users.

Review these settings before you publish:

• General: title, description, and the Published switch.
• Customize: the icon and color shown with the Conversation.
• Prompt: the system prompt that controls how the AI behaves. You can select Enhance My Prompt, or Create My Prompt if the field is empty, and choose up to five documents to help OBIE write it.
• Documents: the reference documents the AI can use in this Conversation.
• Prerequisites: required steps users must complete before the Conversation becomes available.
• Visibility under Advanced: rules that hide the Conversation entirely when their conditions aren't met.

When you're ready, open General and turn on Published.
